I can never understand

As to why people think that

Only they need to survive

But not others

I can never understand

As to why people can see

The suffering of their own people

But not of others

I can never understand

As to why people are so blind

To see the source of all suffering

Are the races, religion and nationality

I can never understand

How humans can be so greedy

Despite having it all

But it is never enough

I can never understand

What they are trying to do

As when they go to grave

Everything will be left behind

I can never understand

As how humans can have no soul

Is it all black within

Is it all rotten inside

I can never understand

As to why people think that

They are superior and

The rest has to bow

I can never understand

Why people don’t realize

The amount of power they have

That they can move mountain

I can never understand

As to why people choose

To live in misery

And to beg constantly

I can never understand

Why people feel happy

When they are stepping on others

Taking away someone’s right

I can never understand

Why people can see the injustice

In a neighbour’s house

But never what happens in own house

I can never understand

How people can change

From being a human

To a complete monster
